Maintenance Management role - manufacture and supply to enable more sustainable farming

They understand agriculture and want help each of their customers have the most success possible with their crops. Due to a rapid growth strategy and increasing business success, there is a need to hire a new Maintenance and Fabrication Supervisor. The Supervisor’s primary responsibility is to provide oversight and coordination of maintenance operations to maintain the highest standards of customer service, safety, efficiency and productivity. This will include coordination of operational maintenance across the organisation, leading a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training and support, hands on maintenance and fabrication and managing operational costs to budget. Proven experience as a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor, or similar role, in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Mining or Quarry Background Preferred. Key Responsibilities: Hands-on maintenance and fabrication activities Plan and schedule maintenance activities, including preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, to minimise equipment downtime and maximise production output Monitor equipment performance, identify potential issues, and implement appropriate maintenance strategies to prevent breakdowns and minimise disruptions Conduct regular inspections to assess the condition of machinery, equipment, and facilities, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards Collaborate with other departments, such as production and engineering, to coordinate maintenance activities and prioritise tasks based on operational needs Manage and maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment, ensuring availability and timely procurement Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders, reports, and equipment history, using computerised maintenance management systems Manage cost expenditure carefully to within budget Outsource major repairs to outside providers Experience and qualifications Proven experience as a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial setting Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team of technicians Strong technical background with preferably a mechanical trade qualification Strong technical knowledge and understanding of maintenance principles, practices, and equipment reliability Experience in maintaining trucks and heavy equipment such as excavators and industrial manufacturing process equipment would be well very well regarded Proficient computer skills, including experience with maintenance management processes and software This is privately held business with a practical can-do approach to business.
